SMAC Aquatics Updates 4-23-17

Thank you Jaz, Isabella, Eric, Leisha, Shauna, Shelby, Al and Tim for coming in early or staying late this past week to help your coworkers.  Your teamwork is so important and appreciated!

Thank you Adam, Austin, Tyler and Kacee for acting quickly and positively with the Wednesday night pool closure and the cancellations of all swim programs on Thursday afternoon!  Great job to all!

Please welcome back John Lucier!  John is back on the pool deck coaching with the Bulldogs on Tuesday, Thursday and Fridays.  It is great to have him back!

Welcome Leisha Moroney!  Leisha was referred to us by Adam Dean and is teaching swim lessons on Tuesday, Wednesday and Sundays.  Her schedule is jam packed with group lessons and she is doing a fantastic job!

Swim Across America is one week from today.  4-30-17 .  Schedules will be sent out today via email.  We have raised $52,000 so far.  You can do this – it’s easy.  Register and ask your family and friends for small donations.  Every dollar counts.   If you are working – we can adjust the schedule so you can swim too.  I’m just “Volunteering” but still raising money.  Go to the website today:

Reminders: The yellow cones mean “Lane Available for Lap Swim”  We want to promote to our members that there are lots of lanes available for lap swimming so please put a cone on all available lanes.  I don’t want just one cone out to signify the remaining 8 lanes are available.  We want to create a VISUAL – that there is plenty of space to swim!

Final reminder: Guards should be at different stands on the pool deck.  We discussed this at our last meeting.  Please do not stand together for more than one minute.

Thank you!
